Fall Gardening - a beautiful start

Last year at this time, I was fighting off our "night creature" to keep him from eating all the leaves off our baby broccoli plants. Thankfully, my water scarecrow is doing its job and protecting my delicious fall vegetables. I planted 7 plots of 9 haricot vert beans. That's a lot beans, I know, but I love green beans. Besides, the excess can be shared or frozen. We have lots of cabbage, lettuce, cucumber, cauliflower and broccoli. I even got to plant a beautiful red swiss chard. Here are some photos from our garden showing our baby plants.
